For the eighth year in a row Peter Strittmatter with funds from the Bank of Montreal (BMO) provided the BBQ for TAKMD.

New this year Giant Tiger donated ice cream for the enjoyment of all.

Special at this year’s event Cat was presented by the City of Ottawa the Bruce Timmerman cycling award which recognizes outstanding contributions in Ottawa’s cycling community.

Thanks again to Chris for setting up his wooden skills park.  Parents helped their small children across the tiny bridges and up and over ramps and stairs, then encouraged them to try some on their own.

By the end of the day all participants had received animal and dice tire values made by Logan and Krista from Kunstadts Kanata.

IN the word of the organizer:

What a special day Friday was!  And to think I was worried about the impending rainstorms...  The riding conditions were epic.  I’m still getting feedback from the riders that they had a blast.  They will always remember that day.  We had a record 104 participants - imagine the numbers had the weather been nice! Everyone went home happy - and wet and muddy
