TFKO was the very grateful recipient of a whopping $10 000 donation from the Sens Community Foundation in 2024. The majority of this funding was spent on our skating programs. From 2023 to 2024, participation in our skating programs increased by an incredible 89% !
As with all of our programs, this donation allowed us to provide our students with all required equipment (e.g. skates, helmets, gloves, socks, skate bags), rink time, and bus transportation, completely free-of-charge for the duration of the program.

In 2023, many of our participants were skating on donated skates that were older and used. We noticed that skaters progressed more quickly in Vic’s soft boot recreational skates, but did not have the money to purchase as many pairs as we needed. Your generous donation allowed us to put every participant in a pair of new Vic’s skates!
Each student is assigned their own equipment for the entire session.
We couldn't do it without our volunteers!
And of course, we always provide our students with nourishing snacks so that they have the energy to enjoy their time on the ice! As well, we were able to pay for behind-the-scenes costs like insurance and First Aid supplies.
